It is learned from relevant channels that Ford officially launched a new generation of Ford Mondeo at the newly opened Ford China Design Center. It also showcases the latest progress in the fusion of forward-looking technology and user-friendly experience design, making it a strong competitor to the B-segment. The new car, designed by Ford China Design Center, will be produced by Changan Ford and is expected to go on sale this year.
In terms of appearance, the new generation of Ford Mondeo carries the Ford performance gene and adopts a new "potential energy aesthetics" design language. The front grille adopts an octagonal parametric breathing scale grille, and is matched with a penetrating daytime running light line, which effectively improves the visual width of the front face of the vehicle and further highlights its sports genes. At the rear, the blackened inner cavity taillights are very recognizable.
In terms of body size of the new generation Mondeo, the length, width and height are 4935mm/1875mm/1500mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2945mm.
In terms of power configuration, the new generation of Mondeo is expected to be equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 238 horsepower (175 kilowatts) and a maximum torque of 376N m, which is the same power configuration as the recently released Ford EVOS.
